Today I went to the Super Chevy Show in Bradenton, Florida. Once again, this show was disappointing to me. I didn't see any '64 or '65 Chevelles in the show. There were only three '66 and '67's and a handful of '68 - '73. It was pitiful! If you were looking for Nova's you were REALLY out of luck! I only saw two '68 - '72. There were a handful of '62 - '67. There were, however, quite a few Camaros. Probably the neatest show car (to me) was a '59 Impala Pro Street. That car was gorgeous!!!

I have been to SCS in West Palm Beach, Fla., Gainesville,Fla., Bristol, Tenn., Atlanta and Indianapolis. They have all been disappointments to me except for Indy which is a 3 day show that dwarfs the others. WPB was good but it was discontinued. I understand Gainesville is now discontinued. And it's no wonder. It's very overpriced. Admission is 2-3 times that of other shows and vendors rip you on food and beverage prices. (Try a $7.00 fee to use the on-site ATM). The last show in Gainesville was a major bust. I won't miss them.:waving:

I agree completely! The Super Chevy Show in Gainesville the last two years was lousy also! The Palm Beach show (Moroso) is back on for this year - September 21, 22 and 23 and they have also added a show this year in Hunstville, Alabama on May 18, 19 and 20. I am planning to attend both of them - in hopes they are better than Gainesville and Bradenton. They are the only two I have ever been to. I am also planning to go to the Nova Mini-Nationals on March 2 and 3 in Old Town, Florida (Orlando).

Just returned from SCS in Bradenton. Wow, what a disaster. There were 10 times more people for the US Street Nats and the so-called Nitro Coupes of SCS would never have made it past round one in Pro Street. Two jets couldn't even make the first pass. Very few cars racing and nothing really quick. The regular brackets were good, but there was so much dead time it was the worst I have ever seen. Talked to a bunch of different racers and most will never return......you could get a buy back after first round loss, but it cost more than the entry fee...........etc.........
