On my 68 on the left side of the frame in the rear and by the firewall there is about a 5/8" hole that you run a bar through and there is a hole in the body that the rod goes into.I don't know if its the same for a 70 but you can do a search in the body section and find some more info.

There are actually two alignment holes on the drivers side. The front one is in the firewall body mount and the other is in the rear floor brace mount. I made two alignment pins on a lathe as they need to be stepped. The frame hole is like 9/16 and the hole in the mount is about 5/8. This will center the body side to side and make all the body mount holes line up.

I used all-thread screwed into four mounts at the corners.

All-thread is another name for threaded rod. I believe the size is 9/16-18 but could be 7/16. I cut 4 pieces at 12 inch lengths; screwed them into the body mount holes (at the four corners) and used them to guide the body back down onto the frame.

Sorry Steve, the only pics I have is the completed frame:

Sorry ASB, no pics but the vin is in between the two body mount bushings directly behind the drivers side rear wheel(i.e.,the right rear wheel). Hope this helps.

I used a 10" long piece of 3/4" rod, turned the first 3 1/2" down to .610 diameter, then the next 6" down to .710 diameter. This will stick completly thru the frame from the bottom and up into the alignment hole in the rear floor brace and the front body mount on the firewall. Both holes are on the driver side of the frame. It is a 3/4" hole with two slots on either side, kind of like a key. If you drill a hole in the alignment rod and put in a roll pin a little shorter than the slot length, it holds the rod in place when turned 90 deg. The roll pin is now resting on the inside of the frame preventing the rod from falling out.
