Stopped by True Connections last weekend and picked up a Factory Assembly Manual for my baby. What a jewel this book is. I've seen it mentioned in threads here but I had no idea how cool this book was. All hand-drawn illustrations with great detail - even torque specs.

If you don't have one, I highly recommend it, a good deal at less than $20!

It's worth every penny. Another must-have is the Fisher Body manual, lots of great info in that one too.

Best book for working on the car. I bought a couple of service manuals too and never touch them. All the info is in the assembly manual. I wish newer cars had them but robots don't need manuals, I guess.

I am in the process of putting my car back together right now, body off and frame stripped down to nothing. I took plenty of pictures while taking it apart, but the assembly manual has been proving to be so much more useful than the pictures even. With the manual I can put things back together the way they should be, not the way my pictures show of how 38 years worth of hacks put it together.
