Can someone tell me what power steering pump and box will work on a 67 Chevelle SS 396 Conv. I have the double pulley on the crank so i will need the pump, box and brackets for a short water pump. I was told any of the boxes that are at the front will work. There is a large wrecking yard not to far from me, so i want to go looking. Thanks for any help Dirks SS

I work for ATSCO Remanufacturing in PHX, we are one of the largest powersteering remanufactures in the USA. Go to your local Autozone and get a part # 6537 gear box and a6094 pump.

Appears the 6094 is for a pump WITH a reservoir. Wouldn't the 6256 be the correct pump for the big block short water pump? No room down by the frame and the reason for the remote reservoir from the factory.

If your using stock PS pump brackets, you need the triple pully on the crank for the ps pump. The smallest one, closer to the radiator is used for the pump. If you using headers you may want to scrap the stock pump and brackets idea for a type II pump and bracket setup. There smaller and give you more clearance and you won't have to struggle with the stock bracket around the headers. You can find them at summit......

Actualy the 6094 is a remote reservoir. It has provisions for the remote reservoir.
