: Congrats to Kazuaki!
JOHN WILSON Feb 7th, 07, 8:30 PM Greg, not sure if your still lurking around here. Congrats on your Elco's appearance in the current issue (April 07) of Chevy Hi, pg 112.
I'm sure some of the old-timers around here in the performance forum remember your car well.
Looks great! :beers:
10secBu Feb 7th, 07, 8:46 PM Don't get the magazine, but do remember his Elky.
Congrats Greg!
hoffbug Feb 7th, 07, 8:48 PM I saw that.. IIRC did it say he got an 11.20 out of it?
I still have Gregs design of a camera mount (pic below) in my Chevelle.

kjett Feb 7th, 07, 8:57 PM I remember Greg. Good guy! Helped me out a bunch when I first came to the site. Haven't seen the article (don't take any of those mags) but, congrats on the props!
Tom Mobley Feb 7th, 07, 9:41 PM looks like he last visited 1/30/07
Bob West Feb 7th, 07, 9:59 PM Congrats Greg, Lookin good!!! I just bought the magazine tonight, looks like it might have some interesting articles inside...whether you can believe them or not ;)
Rmchevelle Feb 7th, 07, 11:39 PM I really enjoyed following Greg's posts as he took his car from high 12's to mid 11's, all chronicled right here on Team Chevelle. That was the best stuff ever. Everybody should be copying his 383 combo. :D
Congrats Greg!
Shawn Gilbert Feb 8th, 07, 12:09 AM Greg,
I don't know you but maybe i should go back and read some old post sounds like good reading. Grabbed the issue and concrats on the car, if i ever make a mag cant imagine a better pic than a good old smoky burnout!!
Shawn
DragRacer Feb 8th, 07, 12:25 AM Congrats Greg!
40Coupe Feb 8th, 07, 7:43 AM :)
77 cruiser Feb 8th, 07, 9:54 AM Always been impressed with the way his car runs. He posted some nice vids too.
kazuaki Feb 21st, 07, 3:47 AM Hey guys, haven't been to the site in a while and didn't see this!! Thanks. I was flipping through that mag the other day and did a double take :D Didn't expect they would actually print it :hurray: Quickest the car has gone is 11.39 @ 117 and it won't be going any faster than that in it's current state. Need a bunch more power before I would get the motivation to start making the long trek to the track again. Maybe someday I'll be able to convince the wife I need a new motor. For now, I just cruise the car to local shows and terrorize the local imports.
For those interested, here's the little half page blurb. For what it's worth, they screwed up the cam duration spec. I also like how they refer to my CR as "just 11.2:1" :noway:

Bob West Feb 21st, 07, 7:35 AM Car Craft screwed up the little article about my car too. Had 9.11 dial in on the window, said that was from our 1/8th mile track,,,, we actually run 1000ft at www.ozarkdragstrip.com in no/e. That was also last spring when I was having trouble hooking the car, has since run a 8.70 1000ft.
