I know I should have asked you folks first (dumb mistake), but I just bought a hood for my '72 that's manufactured by Dynacorn. Does anyone have any experience with these? Is this brand comparable to Goodmark? Please don't tell me I just bought a piece of crap...

Also, I'm getting ready to turn her over to the body guy and simply want to install the cowl door (will worry about the open and close features later), will I need anything besides the door, brackets and mounting hardware? And will it just stay in the open position like this?

As always, thanks for all the subject matter expertise.

I bought a Goodmark cowl induction hood lately and it was a good product, but it did have some high and low spots, but my body man did not seem overly concerned.

I would be careful installing the induction flap since when you put in the screws if you go to far then you will dent the hood. I believe the original cowl hoods may have had spacers where you bolted up the flapper hinge to the hood.

The flap should stay closed if you have nothing else connected to it. Also, I would recommend you search on this subject, there are some good posts about it.
