I purchase set of qa1 shocks, found that to install you have to either cut lower a-frame or disassemble front end. has anyone cut a-frame or are there any suggestions

I`ve done those a few times. If you weasel the shocks in just right (getting the adj. knob through the hole at the proper angle and clock position is the tricky part!) you only have to remove a little bit of material from the arms. I use a die grinder with a big carbide bit. If you bolt it to the top of the arm it`ll be stronger and you won`t have to grind the arms but the shock will end up being a little too long in bump.
FWIW the Varishocks we sell don`t fit through the holes in the A arms either because of their high volume shock bodies. They`re actually designed to bolt on top of the arms. Mark SC&C
