I have a dilema! I have been looking around for a new place to live. I currently live with family, sister, etc. We have a garage here so it's never been a problem for the Chevelle. The most realistic thing I think will happen is finding a 1 bedroom appartment someplace which RARELY have garages (in my price range) I dont feel it's safe for the car even in a good neighborhood, it makes me nervous. I have a pin on fiberglass hood which is kind of easy to remove, I have an alarm that I dont trust all the time... and then if I need to work on it im screwed! Unless I leave it here at the house and buy a cheap honda for the work week? Any ideas??

look for rentals in an affluent area. you'd be surprised that a lot of people with big $ homes are also hurting for $, and will have either a room with a separate entrance or a guest house (i think they are called casarias), around here you can rent a large room or casaria for what an apartment will go for...

Try looking at some of the older buildings in midtown. A lot of those have garages available with a little extra $ and the rent is not too bad.

get a cheap DD. You can find older honda civic for $1500 or less. they are super easy to maintain. They will run forever if you keep the maintenance up on it. And they get around 40 mpg.

I was thinking of getting an older honda. I am really shooting for a house with a good friend of mine, a garage would be nice... very very nice. I hope it all works out. No matter where I go id like to find a 2nd ride I dont like racking up miles and driving the Chevelle everyday.
