Just joined the site last night after buying my all time dream car a 1970 LS-6 Chevelle. I need to learn so many things now that I have the car in hand. It is real and numbers matching with tons of docs.The car needs work and some parts so any help from those out there that know about these cars will be greatly appreciated. Please help me make this car the best it can be.

It was the first car I ever bought. I somehow managed to scrape up 400 bucks plus the 500 my father ADVANCED me for graduating high school - the 400 was probably some kind of loan as well :O)

Thanks guys for the very warm welcome. I have been involved in muslcecars for the last 25 or more years and have never had such a nice group of people welcome me. The car does not look great right now so pics would not do it justice yet. Once I get a few things done I will post pics of the bad boy. I took the drivers door panel off today and one more build sheet was glued to it. I am in heaven. I have not had a good nights sleep since finding the car the other day. I am sure many of you guys understand finding a car you have always wanted in your favorite color with your favorite engine. Here are 2 shots of the build sheet I found today still glued to the drivers door panel.

Congatulations, what a find, a LS-6 that still needs restoring. I just got a 72 ElCamino SS350, with original paint, and #s matching motor, pretty nice driver but needs alot of work to be perfect.

LMAO!!!!! THat has got to be some miracle paper that the build sheet was printed on. I mean to be glued to a dirty/rusted door panel and only have a few conveintley placed stains and "oh look at how old I am" tears!!!
