I have a old Binks conventional spray gun that I've had since the mid 70's.I used it a long time ago to do some spraying of lacquer and sealers. It's a model# 69 gun,,dont know what size nozzle tip it has. The tip has a number:HS99 on it.Anyone out there have any comments on what the limitations are on this gun? If I could use for the frame or suspension pieces that would be ok. I'll be buying a new gun to shoot my primer to the body soon. Thanks . Don

A HVLP gun would give you less overspray provided you have the CFM to run it. I used a old Binks #18 until 9 or 10 years ago, just couldn't part with it.If your gun sprays ok you could use it for the frame and parts and spray your primer with it. For that matter you could spray your whole car with it, the new guns are not some magical piece that shoots the paint for you, they're only as good as the guy behind it.
I'm sure martinsr will chime in here with another page to his book!!! J/K Mike
