Is it possible to rent a rotisserie in or around Omaha NE?

I can’t hold my breath forever….. just kidding. I really didn’t think I was going to find one to rent but was hoping. I’m finding it hard to justify the purchase price to do one car. I guess I’ll just have to buy the rotisserie and then get another Chevelle too. :D

Well even if you could rent one I doubt you could complete the job faster than the cost adds up to owning one. LOL

I rented an engine hoist once for $14 a day (1992 cost, probably $20 today). Anyway 10 days + of rental and you might as well buy one.

I usually buy the big tools I need and then sell them when I am finished. Surprisingly sometimes I break even or worse case cost to me of using the tool is a buck a day or something less than that. You can sell anything as long as you take care of it and it is in good shape when you are done. I have a rotator now that I will seel somethime next summer when I am finished with it, should be able to get most of my money back on it.

Just something to think about when you are weighing those kind of decisions.....OK to tell you the truth this is the line I use on my wife to justify my tools, I don't sell everything LOL ha ha ha

I'll chime in here. I have a rotisserie I bought and am now using to restore my '71. Man, it sure makes it easier to paint and do body work. I agree with ChevysRus. Buy it, use it, then resale it if your not going to do another. As for me, I have another Chevelle to do when I get through with this one and a budy wants to use it for his '55. So, we kinda went in half for it. I can testify that it only takes 1 guy to rotate it and primer it. I just finished Sunday afternoon putting etching primer on mine by myself. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
