Hey guys,
A buddy of mine needs the super rare strip of metal that's used to support the weatherstrip for the back window plastic in his '65 Goat convertible. He has not found a sutable piece to date. Anyone have any leads? I'm thinking that the same part from a '65 Chevelle or other A-body will work here. If anyone does find anything please contact me at the e-mail in my profile. Thanks guys. smile.gif

Has he checked with Year One? If so, have him check on Ebay. Also, post a picture of the area this part attaches to so I can get a general idea of what it looks like. There is a place near Sanger Texas that has thousands of old cars, and I might be able to locate one there. Warning, the place in Sanger, C&C's Auto Ranch, is very proud of what he sells, and your buddy can expect to pay a premium price for this part if I happen to find one there.

He has looked at all the restoration suppliers and come up with NOTHING. No one makes this part. For clearification, this is the rear window channel that supports the weatherstrip for the rear plastic window. This channel is of course totally shot :( . He was supposed to call a guy in Chicago today that was supposed to have good metal. I gave him a call but he wasn't home. When he calls me back I will find out what is going on.
P.S. If anybody knows of a numbers matching '65 GTO Tri-Power Convertible project that is not a POS and priced way too high let me know. He's looking for one. smile.gif
