After watching Football on a 63" Widesceen Hi Def TV all season I couldn't go to a party that anything less than a decent sized digital TV ....and even then it would be hard to not watch Hi-Def.
How many of you are passing on a SuperBowl party because you know that the TV at the party doesn't cut it?

I probably should have added another poll option , but can't figure out how.
I'm old now my friends don't have SuperBowl parties anymore:D

TV is secondary for me, getting together with our friends is the primary reason I go to super bowl parties.

Oh, and the mass consumption of chicken wings:D

I used to think the same way, because NASCAR was about to start then.

But now, with the absolutely pathetic changes made to NASCAR this year, I couldn't care less about that either. Guess I'll just keep buying parts for he car to keep myself busy until spring.

With your friends, thats a good time.

I like to turn it on about a half hour before the game starts, gets me all fired up, pull the shades, turn the volume up, get the recliner squared up with the tv, its just me and that punt returner.

I don't like any side talk, movements in the room.

I'll get so excited, I'll probably tear the living room apart, the bride will say, are you okay over there, I won't even answer her, its me and them.

You see those football players high fiveing and jumping around when they tackle somebody, about that time I'm halfway to the ceiling.

We'll be having homemade fudge with walnuts in it, and homemade chili with fresh stuff in it.

My son Jim is coming over, and he knows the deal when the game starts, its like the space shuttle lifting, volcanoes, nagasaki, earthquakes,:boxing: I'm shakin right now just thinking about it.

LETS GET IT ON.

Rob :)

It was the TV, or a 5-day Mexican vacation. Wife and I choose the TV, just can't see spending all that money, and not having something to show for it.

The wife is at work, my kids left in town are gone to partys, no close friends anymore so I'm sitting here at home by myself waiting for the game to start!:)

I guess then, there is the start of the new season of, some commercialized sport that has more to do with making money, along with 4 wheeled vehicles that are from what I understand, supposed to resemble some sort of production car, made with not one single OEM made part. Sounds pretty exiting.

I have a 62 inch DLP and went to the GF's house and watched it with a few friends on her 19 inch TV. I wouldnt have had it any other way, big screen or not.

65 inch mitsubishi HDTV here.
I usually do not go anywhere else to watch a game.
But I do agree that most of the time, if it is an important game I would rather stay home and yell all I want.
I was invited to a party last nite and I did not go for several reasons, one which was only a 35 inch old tube tv and it was raining a bit.
