What is the best way to remove the ss 396 emblems off of my 69'. Thanks

there should be nuts on the inside of the fender.

I understand that they are fastened by nuts, but the only way I know to get to them is to take the doors off, is there any easier way.

This is what I did on my 70. I removed all the bolts holding the inner fender and moved it as far inward from the fender as I could. I used a small cardboard box to keep it there. I then loosened the two bolts on the bottom of the fender and pulled the fender away from the frame. I used a piece of wood between the fender and the frame to keep the fender in position. Take care not to bend the fender (probably obvious graemlins/clonk.gif ). I used a small craftsman ignition wrench to take the speed nuts off. It's a little hard on the forearm, but it should work for you. Good luck.
