Took ALL day to do this seemingly simple task but I feel it was well worth it. The metal seat backs, sides and frame mounts are sitting right now in the paint booth drying. They look GREAT! I guess this was a decent way to spend my birthday even though my family is mad at me for being gone all day.

Painting the backs and sides tonight. Went to Carquest today to "read" the color so hopefully the paint will match. (red) Upholsterer has a good start on the buckets and is starting the rear tomorrow. :hurray:

I did the same to my bucket seats, blasted them all off painted them then reovered with new covers and foam.

That my friends is the way to do it IMO...I spray mine with some rust neutralizer before I paint them...I have seen them blasted and then powder coated flat black too...those look cool as well and make for an excellent starting point for a quality seat rebuild...

Those seats oughtta last many years to come...

I would say $800 bottom dollar value...and they probably would bring more than that...

Sides and back are at the upholsterer, pretty good shade match. Refinished the steering column today. DA'd and media blasted the steering column, epoxy prime, 3 coats of beautiful black single phase paint. LOOKING GOOD!:hurray:
