Guys I have what seems to be the original bumper off of my '72, but it is bent in the middle where it "peaks" out (maybe from previous owners running into things?). What I was wondering was if a good shop could bend it back or should I just buy a new one and save the hassle of finding a rechroming shop around here? Does anyone know of a good place in the Kansas City metro area? Thanks.

Read the post below about bumper shipping.

Look under the heading of "plating" in the phone book. Or check with the best body shop you know of, they send bumpers out all the time. I can tell you that I always drill a little 1/8" hole in the bottom (where it can't be seen) That way you KNOW if you got "your" bumper back. They normally do an exchange, you want to get YOUR bumper back.
