i started to put in my new weaher stiping kit yesterday on my 68 malibu, and i ran into a snag while replacing the weather stripping that the door main window sits in between. (The long peice that has a metal rail on it.) The side that goes onto the outside of the window went on fine, it just clipped into place. Now the one that is supposed to go on the inside is a different story. The original one is stapled to the door panel. The replacement has holes in it and they supply you with some screws. Do i have the wrong type, or am i just having a problem seeing how to install it. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance- Eric

That's how they are now. I painted the screw heads black to make them disappear better.

so just take out the staples, and screw the new ones on? Any drilling required?

Thats how they come, I've used paper clips before with good success.
