Dyno said..511hp@5650 rpm...530 ftlbs@4200 rpm
400+ ftlbs @ 3000 rpm
TH 350
Hughes GM 30
Monoleafs
12b/3.90 gear
Eaton Posi
Slappers
Koni SPA1 (f/r)
M/T ET-Drags 28.9.15"
1.66 60ft
7.42@92
11.69@115
Ivé calculated over and over...and from 115 mph,6500 rpm,3.90 gear and 89.49" in circumference (28" + an 1/2" in growth..28.5" x 3.14 = 89.49")..and i end up with 18.6% ! with my Hughes GM 30 i have now)
The GM 30 is rated at 3000 rpm stall...i don´t know what it stalls in my combo...maybe flashes 3500 ?
It seems my car is to heavy with too much power for the GM30?
My TH 350 is holding up good after 2 1/2 seasons / 100+ passes and the oil smells ok after each season...so i doubt it´s the 350´s fault.
My wish is to have about 6% ? or something in slipp at the big end..and lower my 60ft from today´s average of 1.68 (1.66-1.71 ! ) to 1.5x´s...and of cause make 60ft´s/ ET´s more stable!!!..
I´m tryín to footbreak/Bracketrace this thing..not so easy as it is now with 60ft´s/ET´s that vary from run to run
I want a converter (of cause) built for my combo.
One more thing..i sometimes race at "tracks" with very poor traction *cough* ...therefor i´m thinking "softhit"...bad thought?
So..Coan,ATI,A1,Hughes, other?...about 4000 stall softhit version?
If i must choose..i´ll choose traction and stable 60ft/ET´s in front of low 60ft´s.(As u can read i´m running 28.9" slicks in stock fenderwells)
An important thing is that because i live in Sweden..i really want it to be great from the beginning...cost´s money and takes time to send it back to the states for calibration!
Thought´s..recommendations please.
(Yes..i´m going to send some manufacture´s an e-mail with the spec´s...but i want racers opinions first)
Thanks Jimmy
