What does reversible substrates mean?

I guess I should answer this because I brought it up. A reversible substrate is a substrate,in our case laquer primer or paint, that can be chemically reversed. That mean that if you rub on that substrate with a rag saturated with laquer thinner, you will remove that substrate.(paint or primer comes off on the rag. That is called a 1K product. A non -reversible substrate is a substrate, ( in our case,epoxy or urethane primer or paint), that cannot be reversed. In other words, you can rub it with that thinner rag and the substrate will not come off or be adversly affected. This is known as a 2-part or 2-K product. Once it's cured, or cross linked it can't be reversed. It should be obvious that the 2-K, non reversible substrate is far superior to a 1-K or reversible one.
