I finally decided to order a welder. I have a Millermatic 175 on order. I need to know the plug configuration on the input power cord. Also, need length of power cord. I can't find it on their website.

When I picked up my last welder the sales guy asked what kind of plug I needed. The unit came without a plug just a 6-8 ft cord. They gave me the plug and other assorted goodies I needed. After thinking about it the only other thing I needed to get was gas, and I already had a tank.

Tim,
The cord is probably 6' long. I could verify that tomorrow. Would a photo showing plug configuration help you ? I can take a pic also tomorrow morning...

The plug is a NEMA 6-50R (http://www.evenheat-kiln.com/technical/recept/recept.htm)

The cord is about 6' long.

This is a photo of the outlet in the shop that my 175 plugs into. And, the cord is 6 ft. long.

Thanks Bill! That's what I need. I need to run a new outlet from my subpanel and needed to know which outlet to get. 50A it is.
