i did a search and did not find this discussed before.so here it goes on my 69' i don't remember how the liner attached to what ever it attaches to.there are small holes in one side of the liner where it would lie on the door but no holes on the door.both are original to this car any help?

Does the car have factory AC? (takes a different glovebox than non-AC)

The glove box is held in with sheet medal screws, which go thru the steel dash housing, into the glove box liner. The liner should have medal inserts which accept the screws.

It almost sounds like you have an A/C glovebox.

The A/C cars had a small basic (plastic?) bin screwed onto the glovebox door. You opened the glovebox and the bin tipped over and out.

The non-A/C cars had a much larger glovebox that attached to the dash with screws and the metal inserts (because the actual box was glorified cardboard).
