I've hear and read on Mystery's CD that the standard rim for the 66 SS was a 14x6 JK. It seems that Kelsey Hayes made 2 rims in 65 listed as 14x6 JK, one with a 3 1/2" backspace and one with a 4 1/2" backspace. Seems the code is suppose to the a "6" and a "A3". Do all the correct rims have either the 6 and A3 or would some have just an A or just a 6? Maybe the 6 and A3 were stamped to lightly and some letters/numbers not visiable after a bead blast. And which would be the correct backspace? Quite a few guys on ebay listing the 3 1/2" backspace as correct and one is listing a question from mysterychevelle.com to lend authenticity to the ad.

What confused me was this ad and the supposed question by mysterychevelle.com Also note User ID is Private. I think these are the 14x6 JK rims for a full size chevy with the .06 offset and not for a 66 chevelle ss. What do you think Seb? And do you think that is a legitimate question from Mike?

I saw those rims as soon as they were listed and was curious myself.
I was the other question in in the listing... Is it possible that some SS cars didn't have the 6 and A3 next to the valve stem... not sure anyone can know for sure, as far as whether Mike is truly the other ?.. only he could answer that. I thought myself it seemed a little unlike Mikes style, but who am I to say for sure... and if it isn't , it's a pretty ballsy move to make on behalf of the seller.
Mike was that you?? Inquiring minds want to know?

I saw these rims and I could tell immediately that they are too deep offset for 65-67 Chevelle. Probably full-size chevy....Impala, etc.
I've looked at dozens of wheels that I was told were the correct ones. Here's what I've found after 2 years of looking at them. All different width rims have the A by the valve stem. The A seems to denote the frontal offset. That said, if everything else checks out on the wheel....14x6, JK code, GM & 65 by the lug holes.....and there is only an A by the valve stem, that wheel will be correct. Just my opinion on this.....some may have had different experiences.
