So far your help has been great.... I got the chrome trim removed over the box.. but.. the end cap (at the end of the box) about 4" long will not come off.. I did remove the 7/16 nut inside the box.. What do I do?
How do you reach the 'V' trim emblem behind the front wheel in the middle of the fender?
Again, thanks for all the great advise.

You may be able to get to the V trim behind the front wheels by removing the inner fender. However, I believe you may have to loosen the bolt at the bottom of the fender and pull it out a little to get the piece back in. Good luck.

The V emblem does require the lower fender bolt removed and the inner unbolted if not taken all the way out. I waited till my fenders were off to remove the trim, the tricky part will be putting them back on after painting.
I'm not sure what you are asking on the bed trim. I have had mine off three times but can't picture what you are having trouble with.

The corner moldings are held in by TWO.
thread cutting nuts per side. At each end if the cast piece. In your post you said one ?

WayneK,
The tail corner pieces are held on by the thread cutting nut......but.....how do you remove this? Can I pull it up high enough to unscrew the nut?
Thanks for your help.

To get access to the two nuts per side. you must remove the access panels that are located on the side of the bed. They have 4 screws each. you then can use a 1/4 drive with flex shaft to remove the nuts.
