Hello all i was just wondering what everybody did or thinks would be the best way to go. I just finished stripping all the lines etc off the frame and will be taking it in to get blasted tomorrow and dont know if i should get a good paint gun and epoxy prime then semi gloss black paint it myself because i also have to paint the rearend the same color or if i should just get the frame powdercoated i know i guy who does it for about 300-350 (canadian graemlins/thumbsup.gif ) so it would probably save me money and if i did a good job would look just as nice having the rearend match the rearend also have the controls arms powdercoated?

I'm all for powdercoating. It's a nice durable finish, and looks great. That sounds like an awesome price for a full frame.

Just be sure to try and get the frame to the powdercoater the same day it gets blasted if possible, to avoid any rust starting.

Also, be sure to take into consideration if the frame or control arms will be badly pitted. Powdercoating is very thick and will mask MINOR pits, buts anything really bad will still show, and with powdercoating being cured in an oven at about 400 degrees, you can't do any prep work.

Good luck whichever way you go.
