Hi all, I am new to the site but I really like it so far. I have a 70 LS5 conv. that I bought in 91, it is really close to being finished, it has been road worthy for a while but just needs those finishing touches. Strange thing I wound up with this car cause I used to think Fords were the only car worth owning (crazy huh?). I have a 65 shelby R model clone that I bought/built when I was 15 and still have. In 1990 I started working in a restoration shop and the very first car I started on was one of the 22 documented 70 LS6 convertibles! I quickly learned to love these cars. Better yet, one of my coworkers informed me he had a half finished 70 LS 5 in his pole barn for 3500 bucks. Three days later I owned the car. I actually sold the car to my dad a few years later for just enough money to get me through some tough times (wife,first house,first child) with the agreement to buy it back for what he spent on it. The two of us got it mostly done and he got to enjoy it. He passed away last year and now it's back with me. Life can be a real strange ride.
