I started swapping in new bushings in my 70 wagon but ran into a problem. Ive got all the fasteners loosened up but i cant get the frame to seperate at the #4 position just forward of the rear wheels. Am i missing something or is it just being a pain in the hindquarters.

Pain in the ass would be my guess. Do you see anything hanging up? Such as a brace of some sort or a brake line or something? May just be a booger. I guarantee it will be something stupid. Heat it up if all else fails. I assume you got all the bolts out.

Provided you have the body bushing bolts removed, there is nothing that should prevent the body/frame seperation. Fuel lines, brake lines and tank vent line all stay with the frame. Other than un-hooking the fuel lines at the tank, steering shaft, and brake lines from the M/S to the distribution block, the body should seperate.

And don't forget the E-brake cable and speedometer (if it still has a tranny).

frame may also be twisted a little or jackstands not on level ground, causing the frame to flex up and stay in contact with the body.
