are there 2 diferent types of bezels for the tail lights on a 69 chevelle, i seen some on ebay that looked different than mine, almost frenched

The 300 series cars got the narrow bezel. The Malibu and SS cars got the wider one with the black paint insert.

Thanks keith, never knew that. I need new ones for mine and i think i like the 300s better. Are they hard to find?

I see them on Ebay every once in a while. They are somewhat rare.

Several years ago I almost bought a pair of NOS 300 bezels for my 69 until the guy said "you do know theses are different than the SS bezels don't you?"

I just learned something today that I never noticed before, the 300 bezels fit inside the hole in the quarter rather than set on top of the metal like the Malibu/SS cars do.

I guess I just never paid any attention before.
