I am painting my '68 SS396 and am curious about the proper way to handle the lower black portion of the body where it blends into the door jamb. Concerning both the doors and the jamb, what should be black and what should be body color?
Thanks

damn....she looks good!!!!! How does the black lower paint work into the door jambs. Is the whole jamb body color, or does the black go into the jamb and sill area?

On my previous paint job, the black went into the jamb level with the line it takes outside the body. The courtesy scuff plate with the 'Fish Body' logo is framed by black paint.
I believe that it's done the same way on this paint job.

pvt....do you have any pictures of the door jambs and how you painted them? Your ride looks great. Did you do the paint work yourself?

I'm not saying that just to be wry... I actually tried to paint a birdhouse once. The birds threw it through my bedroom window and flipped me off.
I will see what I can do to get you a picture of my door jamb ASAP.
