I noticed that the original body brace to trunk floor piece overlaps underneath fuel tank brace by about 1/2 inch as they run about 90 degrees into each other, My repair panels have the body brace attached already, the gas tank brace is in good condition, Do I install repair panel with body brace right on top of gas tank brace (easiest option ) or do I try to copy factory installation and break apart about 1/2 to 3/4 inch of weld on trunk repair panel body brace so that it overlaps gas tank brace on the underside of the body.
