i have a 72 conv. with a crappy paint job. the paint is currently cracking almost . i dont know if cracking is the word because its not crackin through but it is almost spidering all over but they dont go through the paint . its like a surface thing. its on almost every square inch of the deck lid and a few other parts. now i heard from people that i could just scuff up the body and apply primer but this seems like im missing some steps.. im not tryin to do a show paint job . it is a daily driver that i just want to look better than it does now..as of now the paint is on the car. so should i start with 80 and get the surface crap smooth before i primer ? and where should i go from there . i have a book and i looked on the tc quite a bit and couldnt find what i was lookin for in laymens terms. thx for any help
