I have a 71 el camino, Why wont the fenders from chevelle(other than wagon) fit my car? What is the diff. And how are you suppossed to get a decent replacement fender for my car because nobody reproduces them. thank you.

One difference is the edge that meets up with the door. On the coupes/convertibles, it is curved whereas the El Camino isn't. There may be other differences as well but there's no way you'll be able to swap em.

Bob's right.
The place where the fender meets the door is straight on El-caminos and Wagons, and on Chevelles (Even 4drs) It has a curve.
Also, The place where the fenders meets the fenders extenstion is diffrent.
The fender extention sticks out more, on an elky or a wagon. (You don't see the differences untill you line them up.)

I need a fender, but not bad enough to pay $250 for one with a rust hole in the lower panel off of Ebay. I saw one sell for that much, with a dime sized hole in the lower panel, and a hacked up bolt hole at the top. Nuts.
