If you're painting a car regal red and it has a red interior, is it the same paint? From searches I've done it seems the dash and doors above the panels are the same color, but not as glossy. Is the little section of dash by the windshield (center) even less glossy? I'm working with a very experienced paint/body man, but he's a Ford guy and I just want to give him all the correct info so there's no guesswork.

Also, stupid question: Firewall remains black, correct? What about underside of the hood?

Thank you. I know all this info has to be here somewhere already, I may have been too specific with my searches. A definitive answer here would be most appreciated.

Anyone? Am I not being clear about my question? Do you use the same paint for the body as you do for interior metal surfaces, if so, is it less glossy on the inside, and if so, how much less glossy?

Thank you.

The interior is 60% gloss. As far as the red goes on your car I don't know for sure. I'm guessing based on my 67 that you should have a marroon dash pad. Zero gloss marroon dash by the wind shield. 60% gloss red on the lower dash and top of the doors. Check with the Year One catolog, they sell the right paint and give you a little education on the right colors. The firewall as well as the underside of the hood are semi gloss black and just about everything else is too. Core support, inner fenders, & motor brackets.
