: You would have done the same...
Derek69SS Jan 27th, 07, 9:41 AM I was inspecting my new wheels in the living room, where I keep part of my tractor collection...

You all would have done it too. :D
chevguy65 Jan 27th, 07, 10:14 AM mount tires on the wheel and post a pic of the tractor then, I bet it would look mean.
Derek69SS Jan 27th, 07, 10:21 AM I don't ride the "Super H", the seat is set too far forward for my niece... I ride the "Super M" in the background. :D
Don't tell me you never heard of a pedal-tractor? You missed out on one of the highlights of the age 4 through mid-20s years. ;)
71NICK Jan 27th, 07, 10:23 AM I would have tried it:cool:
eyewanta65 Jan 27th, 07, 11:47 AM I spotted this pic in the showroom. I really thought I was going to see it in the wheel thread. I see it's closed. Last week it was steering wheels. My son actually predicted this week would be wheels. Next week air cleaners.lol Cool pic Derek, and nice wheels  Scott
jtm60 Jan 27th, 07, 1:36 PM im not much in the way of tractor collections, but i have to admit i always get sucked into watching those redneck tractor pull events, with the multi-engined blown tractors pulling the sled with the moveable weight...how about art arfons-how long has that guy been around? or is he still even around?
i did chuckle at your photo as well. bigs and littles.
i take it you are a big 'green acres' fan too?
gotago Jan 27th, 07, 2:10 PM Last time I saw a Super H it had a hay wagon attached to it and I was standing on the brakes going down hill trying not to lose any. Raked with the Super M, it was faster.
LateNight72 Jan 27th, 07, 2:20 PM I would've tried it.... But then again, I don't think I would have 17s, much less in that style, Looks to Rice.. :D ;)
Are those 24's?:D Just kidding. Very nice.
novaderrik Jan 27th, 07, 3:38 PM you should put that pic in the thread about the ugly wheels..
Bad66Chevelle454 Jan 27th, 07, 5:24 PM Thats awesome! I would of done the same thing. It actually doesnt look that crazy though, because some of those tractors have those huge rear wheels like that.
72SSAbody Jan 27th, 07, 8:19 PM Looks good Derek.
What size tires are you going with?
What are the specs on the wheels?
Joe
Chris R Jan 27th, 07, 9:07 PM Even if I did have a pedal tractor, I probably wouldnt have tried that either. But that style rim is nice looking.:)
Derek69SS Jan 27th, 07, 9:31 PM The wheels are 17x7 w/4" BS and 17x8 with 4.5" BS. I got them on ebay for $822 to run on my car for a year or so to clear the C5 brakes while I save up to get some lightweight forged wheels in 17x9.5 and 17x11. At that point, these will go on my wife's 66 wagon.
I will be running 255/50 on rear (Impala SS size), and 225/50 on front. I would have gone with 235s on front, but I'm getting some like-new tires for almost free. They're not performance tires, but they fit the budget and allow me to finish the suspension work this spring... tires are easy to upgrade later.
Derek69SS Jan 27th, 07, 9:33 PM Are those 24's?:D Just kidding. Very nice.No, they're 48s and that's a real tractor. ;) :D
Bowtie-72 Jan 29th, 07, 4:19 PM No, they're 48s and that's a real tractor. ;) :D
Must have vaulted ceilings....
Bowtie-72 Jan 29th, 07, 4:24 PM Don't tell me you never heard of a pedal-tractor? You missed out on one of the highlights of the age 4 through mid-20s years. ;)
Nope. I had neighbors who had kids. We had parks and stuff. I have never tipped a cow, never drank 'shine, and all my pants had the legs and didn't have farmer's suspenders (overalls).
All kidding aside, you have tractors inside your house? I thought I was weird when we had the girls' 12V jeep inside last winter, but they would drive it out in the spring throught the walk-out door (like thier personal garage).
looks col, but not knowing they were 17's I would have guessed 14s. Must be a big tractor.

I know a gentleman farmer that has a John Deere experimental D farm tractor, and a early 30's Packard convertable in the living room of his house. Both are fully restored and very rare, and yes he's not married.
Ricks70ss Jan 29th, 07, 5:51 PM Derek: TOO much time on your hands buddy. But I love it. sit on it & take a picture
BB_Mike Jan 29th, 07, 5:52 PM He has a Tractor collection, and I'm the one living in Alabama. :D

looks cool, but not knowing they were 17's I would have guessed 14s. Must be a big tractor.Despite my wife's objections, I have 3 pedal-tractors and a pedal-car in the living room, along with a glass case and a big shelf full of smaller tractors. :)
The tractor is big enough that I can ride it, although it's not quite comfortable. :D I don't fit in the pedal-car. :(
Derek: TOO much time on your hands buddy. But I love it. sit on it & take a pictureI would, but I can just see that picture coming back to haunt me later. :D
He has a Tractor collection, and I'm the one living in Alabama. :DYou still farm with horses? ;)
Bow_Tied Jan 29th, 07, 11:23 PM Derek, not only would have i done that too, I woulda mocked up a pretend pull-sled and had the front of the tractor in the air for the picture.
CAElky Jan 29th, 07, 11:43 PM Lemme guess? Your favorite song is "She thinks my tractor's sexy".
In all honesty, I woulda done the same thing. In fact, some of my old car show placards and pins are going to be made into a cocktail table in my "bar nook".
Of course, I would have tried it with a radio flyer wagon..... :D
