I need to replace my origional plastic front inner fenders on my 70 chevelle. Should I replace with plastic or steel? Why? Where should I shop for good Quality? Thanks

Steel,because it won't crack.

NOS if available, repro's are questionable in quality and fit.

Try a search on the topic.

Replace with steel, plastic will just get brittle and crack again and plus you can paint them to match the color of car if you like.

I bought a pair of repo from OPG and they fit nice only had to enlarge two holes slightly. On my next chevelle I will buy them from goodmark. Ive had some OEM inners that were more of a headache to fit then repos...Eric

The plastic repops have be discussed here before and the word is that they are terrible. Not even close to a good fit.

I'd go steel with either NOS or Goodmark repops. They've gotten lots of good comments here.

Thanks to all who responded. I think I'll be going with the Goodmark steel.
