Just this last week I was finally able to tow the '65 Malibu down to my house in Phoenix from Montana where it has been sitting for the last 9 years. This was the car that my brother drove in high school that I bought last year as he will never fix it up himself.

Anyway, the trunk lid will not unlatch. I do have the correct key for it, but it will not open the trunk. So any suggestions out there would be appreciated.

Have you tried penetrating oil and compressed air? A lot of oil and a shot of the highest pressure of air in the keyhole might loosen things up. Also try pushing (UP &) down on the lid quite a few times.
If that dosen't work, you'll have to take the back seat out and use a long tool, like a screw driver inside a piece of pipe to get to the latch.
