Where can I find info. on this BIG event. I recently joined ACES and am planning on being there this Summer. Are there any RV sites close to the event?

Simply go back to the home page here and click on the ACES.

I didn't get too much information there. I was hoping for some experienced attendees to "clue me in". I want to bring my motorhome IF there is a place to camp.

Look through the cruise-in forum as that is where most CB topics are. Another option is to call the ACES hotline and get the info first-hand.

I recall someone who attended in 2004 (can't recall the name right now...) saying that there was a campground VERY nearby Moss Wright Park (our show field) and that he was bringing his big motorhome. Are you a member of the Good Sam Club? If so, do a location search on GOODLETTSVILLE, TN or surrounding areas. The showfield is located there.

As suggested, you can also call the ACES Hotline and speak with either Chuck or LaRae and they'll know where local camping is located. Good luck and hope to see you in June!

Yes just call Chuck evenings at 1-615-643-2237. A suggestion: Even though you might stay at an RV campground, be sure to experience the hotel parking lot party every evening/night (goes to wee hours) at the Best Western/Hampton Inn.

During the daytime, when everyone and their cars are at the park, there is MORE THAN ENOUGH room to park your motor home in the trailer parking area of the park (I believe you will have to be self sustained, no hookups available). BUUUUUUUUUUUT when the events of the days are over, the gates will be closed. So, if you should choose to drive your Chevelle from the park to the cruise or to the dragstrip, you won't be able to get back into the park to get the motor home out.
Straight across the street from the Best Western/Hampton motels is a shopping area with a big parking lot which would provide a place (at the back of the parking lot) to park in the evenings. Parking a motor home in the motel parking parking lots (Best Western and/or Hampton) may not be practical (I can't say about the other motel parking lots in the area).
Also, I can't remember whether parking is permitted in the street along side the Best Western/Hampton, but if it is, that may be acceptable to you.
In any case, the motel parking lot(s) are the place to be in the evenings (and weeeeeeeee hours) after the sun goes down and everyone is winding down and socializing. This time has become probably one of the most pleasurable "functions" of Chevellabration.
There is one fool who cooks free burgers and dogs (with all the fixins') and beer, for all who care to participate, one night and then on another night, there are some Cajuns that cook up a giant pot of gumbo. This is all out in the parking lot (Best Western) in the evenings.
This is a "controlled" bunch of Chevelle owners just relaxing and tellin' lies, it is NOT a drunken orgy!!!!
In the past couple of years, some burnouts have been done in the parking lot and last year's burnouts got pretty wild. In the interest of safety, and not running the risk of ruining Chevellabration for everyone, it has mostly been agreed upon, by MOST participants, that the burnouts in, or in the vicinity of, the motels should not be done. I personally have pledged that when my Chevelle is in the motel parking lot, IT WILL BE PARKED! PERIOD.
(No, I'm not a party pooper, but there ARE people who bring their kids that are playing in the parking lot, and there are LOTS of nice Chevelles parked that don't need to get damaged)

People start coming in on Tue (including me and my son), more on Wed and most by Thur. If you want to make a vacation of CB07, come Mon or Tue, there is plenty to do in the Nashville area. One year, we went over to Opryland, took the evening dinner cruise (GREAT MEAL AND LIVE ENTERTAINMENT!) on the river boat down and back on the Cumberland River. Another year, we went to the Jack Daniels distillery. Another year we went to the Floyd Garret Museum.
