I went to visit my long lost Elky while it's being cleaned up and finished...

AOI = area of interest
and realized that I can't remember how the headliner attached near the windshield!?! It seems to me that there was a metal strip (that's now missing) that ran accross the front - or maybe two, a left and right side - that the headliner tucked under and was glued to. But now I can't remember and I don't see how it's going to attach. Do I have something missing? And if so, what's it called so I can get another one?
As always... thanks for any and all info!

and there is a rubber 1 piece of trim that goes over the headliner and the metal to hide it.

Good luck finding them new,I have not been able to find them new out of any book.OPGI is supposed to be repoping them but I have not heard anything on that yet.
Nice looking Elky by the way.

Well, I guess I'm on a mission now. I'll try and see if the 1st body shop has them laying around, but I doubt that they would have any idea of what I was talking about. I do have a good 'vintage GM' parts supplier nearby. It seems I could be looking for any 68-72 Chevelle, Elky or wagon. Would that be right? Also, any idea what that strip is called? The "metal-headliner-next-to-the-windshield-glue-strip"??
(I don't want to sound like an idiot :cool:)
