: OC Cruisin'
HarrisQ Jan 25th, 07, 5:08 PM I know there are some Marylanders on here, actually it doesn't matter where your from, and I'm just curious if anybody goes to OC for the May and/or October cruisin'. I go to them both every year.

Johnny O Jan 25th, 07, 6:38 PM Well, Im certainly not a Md person, but I will be there this spring for the show. Im looking forward to it already, reservations are all made. I'll be going down on Wed. AM and returning home on Sunday. John
ricks_67 Jan 25th, 07, 7:50 PM I'm from PA, This will be my first time going to OC. My cousin and I are making the trip with our 66 and 67 chevelle's. We are leaving wed with a local car club that goes down and staying at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront. The car club has an agreement with the hotel for prices and a parking area.
Running Man Jan 25th, 07, 7:59 PM I'd like to try and make it.
I stumbled on this show by accident about 3 years ago.
Very big show !!!!!
Plus seacrets bar is AWESOME !!!!!!!!:hurray:
HarrisQ Jan 26th, 07, 2:52 PM Wow! You all are coming from a good distance away especially you John. It is a very big event. Almost to big. Traffic is terrible when your trying to cruise up and down Coastal Hwy but it is still fun with tons of cars to look at. I really like the October one because it is less crowded and cooler so you don't have to worry about over-heating issues while stuck in traffic. Hope you all can make it.
68chvlss396 Jan 26th, 07, 3:10 PM I'll be there in May. Heading down on Thursday morning.
bowtie65 Jan 28th, 07, 6:58 PM I'll be there in may also. probably thurs. to sun.

Tell Me- How Does This Work
The Wife And I Would Love To Do Something Like This- ( New Owners)
But Would Worry About Leaving The car Outside ( Covered Of Course )
But Still What About Security
Seems Like Perfect Oppurtunity For Some Luzzers to Have There Pick
Of What They Would Like To Steal
68chvlss396 Jan 30th, 07, 2:51 PM That has always been a concern of mine. I am fortunate due to My brother in-laws place has a garage. It is like going back in time with all of the muscle out cruisin! You could try to find a place across the bay in West OC or Ocean pines that is off the beaten path. Or you and the wife could take turns sleeping in the car with a .45. I have not heard about anybodys cars getting messed with, but I'm sure it has happened.
tanner Jan 30th, 07, 9:41 PM Going to get there sometime Thursday. I think the wife made reservations at the Best Western Hotel an Suites up around 5500 block.

I know what you mean...but that's why we have collector car insurance and
like mentioned I've been going there for 5 years and I have never heard of a car being stolen. Some hotels have covered parking garages which may give you more of a sense of security, but I'm sure they are filling up as we speak. If I were you I wouldn't worry about it, but that's just me...It's a great time cruising up and down the strip with all the other cars.
Harris,
check out this post http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140477 for some more info... Great time for sure... Sean
Oh yeah... a few months ago there was an article ref the 10 best car cruise spots in the nation and OC was one of them.. i think it was Car Craft but ill have to check...Sean
