I know valve cover selection is mostly a matter of preference, but I need some good advice. I'm currently running an old set of Mr Gasket tall chrome covers. These covers have no baffle and are allowing too much oil through the PCV valve. I have to have tall covers (roller rockers and stud girdle) but I am also limited for room at the booster. They don't have to be steel, but need good support as it is street driven. And most importantly, I'll need baffles in them. Tell me what you're running. Thanks.

I am running old school cast aluminum MILODON covers ,they are real heavy and i love them !! I am running both covers to a puke tank ,and the tank drains down into the fuel pump mounting plate (no fuel pump there, just a cover) .

I use a set of Billet Specialties much like RUQKENF does.When I tried to put them on with my stud girdle there was a clearance issue with the baffles.What I did was take the baffles off and cut the sides out of them and modify them so they sat closer to the valve cover.

I think Moroso makes some baffles that you can bolt in, drill a couple small holes and bolt them in. I use them under the KN filters that are pressed in to the aluminum valve covers.

Moroso also makes a grommet that doubles as a baffle.

Thanks guys. Rich, I'm gonna try your idea. I work at a Carquest distribution center and we have those baffle type grommets here in Mr Gasket #5425. They warn you that they won't work with stud girdles but I have the Moroso 1 piece girdle and I'm gonna try it. I didn't know anyone offered these. It will be a lot better than springing for a new set. Thanks again.

Rich, I just went and looked at these Mr Gasket grommets on the shelf and they have the larger (1") ID. and after looking at the Morosos, they are the same. I need something with a 3/4 ID for a PCV valve to push in. Anybody?
