I have a 65 2 door malibu ss that has rusted out in the area between the drip rail and where the drivers door glass seals to the body. Can this area be repaired? It is rusted thru completely. Is that strip of metal replaceable or is it part of the roof?

sorry to here about your RUST problem. My 65 El- Camino From FL. had the same problem.
Yeas it can be fixed and no no one makes a replacement panel for it. This area has three parts. The roof panel the drip edge and the inner roof panel. I cut out the bottom edge along the unser side of the drip rail. the fabracated a strip the was like the orginal metal. fit and mig welded it in.
after it was ground down and re sealed with
seam sealer around the drip rail roof seam. it looks fine.
