I have this Muncie M20 that has been sitting around the garage for a long time.
Can anybody give me any more information about this trans by the numbers?

Todd, that trans came out of a Kansas built chevelle possibly from the 4th week of june (06D), if I read the partial VIN correctly- 19K460954. That partial VIN is the car it was originally installed into at the factory. If you have the car it came out of check the VIN and it should match or it was transplanted. The Muncie codes I am not too up on but I'm sure someone will give you the info. The 5660 main case was used on many 69 transmissions, that much I know from other threads. hope that helps. Andy

that is already way more than I knew before.
This trans was bolted to the back of a 1963 340HP 409 that I had bought for an impala I used to own. That engine and trans had come out of somebodys street rod. So I was totally unsure of the original application for the trans.

It is a 1969 Muncie M20 june 13 1969 assemble date.

Its a 1969 M20 from a Chevelle...

But I hate to tell you that the side cover is missing the pivot pin that holds the interlock scissors. It may be ready to fall out of the inside of the box, anyway that cover set up was used in early cars with the pin that could fall out....
