Gosh, where do we start with this little gem.
The sellers description has so many lies in it, It's unreal.
From the original trunk, to the perfect interior with no cracks.
Anyone notice that the whole upper left hand corner of the dash face is missing?
This car has been worked over good. 33K original miles. NO WAY.
What we're looking at here is an older partial resto that shows wear. Then somebody has done some recent freshening up.
You don't get that kind of clutch pedal pad wear with 33K miles. Well, maybe, but it sure looks like it's worn a lot more than 33K would show to me.
This is a classic example of a seller who is trying to portray that he is the most honest person you'll ever meet, all the while touting that the car he is trying to sell is the virgin Mary. When in fact just the opposite is true.
The front door panels have been replaced. Probably the rears too.
He says "The trunk is completely original, with its original paint, stickers, trunk mat, and spare tire."
NO WAY. The trunk has been sprayed for sure.
Look at the wear on the bottom of the jack base. That sucker has been on the ground too many times to count. Not indicative of a 33K car.
I bought one of those el cheapo trunk mats back in the early 90's and I never used it. When I took it out of the package years later, the backing had all come off and dissintegrated, just like the one in this trunk. Notice how parts of it are sticking to the trunk floor.
Then he says "Underneath the vehicle is a real testament to its originality. It has not been restored or modified in any way"
What about all the paint on the front portion of the frame? The front brakes have been redone. Check out the pitting on the front swaybar. I suspect this car was pretty rusty before it got worked over.
Then he says "This Chevelle SS is a one of a kind vehicle, and its documentation and originality is unparalleled"
uh huh, yeah right.
And the fan blade he has pictured is not the one that came with the car. Wrong fan blade.
I'm thinking the dist is a restamp too.
It's pretty interesting how he seems to know every number and date code on the car, but makes no mention of the block casting number, date code or whether it is the original block.
This car is obviously an older resto with some recent refreshing done. Nowhere near a 33K orig car.
BUYER BEWARE !!!
