I am redoing my interior on my black 66. The car presently has a black interior (Procar seats without a console) but I wanted the car to look more "correct" so I found a parts car and removed the seats and console.
Here is the question: I always wanted a BLK on RED car. Well as I see it now is the time. Leave the dash, console and the door frames black (they are slick) and change the seats, door panels and carpet to red. I got to see this done yesterday on BJ auction site and I thought it looked great. (blk 66 with red seats, panels and carpet)
I need to order my seat covers tomorrow, do I order black (BORING) or do I order RED?? (WOOO!WOOO!)

If it makes you happy, go for the red. I also have a 66 it is gold with a black interior and I want to change the seat covers and door panels to white.

you can put about any color inside if its painted black,always looks tough.

I like black & red in any combination. I'd actually like to get my seats done in black leather with red embroidery of either "El Camino", or outline of a bowtie symbol in the upper seat back. Have fun with it!
