Here she is the little vixen:

Seeing as theough I will have this work done for me, what should I expect to hear? What should I ask for? What would you do? How to get long-lasting work, but not pay a fortunes ... (Be nice to a beginner http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

What do I do with these rear quarters? Plug 'em or put on a new skin or a full quarter? How cheap is it to have new inside quarters done too?

And then there is the driver's door. Skins or ... (gag) bondo?

and a little question of both front fenders where the marker light used to be?

Question 2:
Where can I get good remanufactured parts here in (Quebec) Canada? And a good used part place? Going over the border with the exchjange rate is foolhardy and expensive?

I find it hard to assess body work by pictures (plus I am not a body repair professional). A evaluation by a trusted professional would be better than my advice, but it would appear that the car is in slightly better condition than typical for a 30 year old Canadian car IMO.
If the bottom of the door seam is very good then perhaps a metal patch repair to the door handle area would be enough. Anything can be fixed, but can often cost more than replacing the part - if the door needs a lot of work, look for a replacement.
There is a typical rear window leak as noted by the trunk pan patches, so make sure the window seal was repaired too.
Check the floor pans (eg lift the carpet out from under the pedals).
I am not at home right now, but I will look for my suppliers list later. I am sure others will chime in that know body work better than I.

I don't know of any Quebec suppliers, but you can try Dale's Muscle Car Parts in Bracebridge, Ont. Ph# is toll free, 1-877-276-6831. Dale can set you up with replacement panels or used ones as well.

Well jt, I'm fortunate I guess. I've got good friends just over the border in NY State (about 2 1/2 hours away) and we visit them every couple of months or so. I order any major parts from the U.S. suppliers and have them shipped there. If you bring them back across the border yourself, rather than having them shipped across, you don't pay brokerage fees and the duty is virtually nil as the parts are for a car over 25 years old.

Even with the exchange it works out much cheaper.

To give you an example - a part being sold in the States at $100 U.S. will likely cost you $200 Cdn. or more from a supplier here.

Good luck.

The door is an easy fix. Thats probly the least of your prblems. The good thing is you got 70 in you drive way. If you can't do body work on your own "Don't touch it" It'll get worse. Trust me.
