The '87 IROC in my signature came with the factory aluminum louvers covering the back window. I removed them last year because they were looking REAL bad. Since then, they have been refinished and it's time to put them back on. 4 of the 6 mounts use double-sided tape to attach them to the rear glass.
Can anyone recommend a STRONG tape to use on these? The mounts are aluminum. Over the years, I've used the 3M body side molding adhesive you can buy at Pep Boys with limited success on 2 of the mounts that kept coming loose.
Thanks
Rick

Crest makes a really strong 2 sided tape, don't remember the name but it comes in a small box, it's kind of a milky white color.

You might check with a local body shop supplier, maybe one of those rear view mirror adhesive kits would work?

Had good luck with the 3M product from the bodyshop supply house. It looks the same as the pepboys style but is wider (and stronger)

For those who would like to know, I found the stuff. It is 3M High Adhesion Automotive Attachment Tape part # 06381.
Only problem is: comes in a 20 yard roll, and I have about 18 left.
Anybody need a section?
