: Question Regarding Paint Removal

I am going to chemically strip my '70 SS Chevelle which is now down to the bare body.

However, can I use aluminum oxide to blast in the fender wells, underbody/floorpan, and firewall area without causing damage/warpage since these areas are pretty nasty?

Also, what do I protect the bare metal with after stripping and can I get it locally at an autoparts store?

Thanks,

its hard to beat epoxy primer.
Spray it on the bare metal right after blasting.
Once it cures, it is water proof and will not rust again.
However, you need to shoot a color or primer over it within 10 hours or so, or
you will need to scuff it first, or get the primer in black.
You could shoot it with an etch primer too.
