I have a 65 Conv. with marginal doors. I have been offered the doors from a 65 El Camino that are in really good shape. Can anyone tell me if the frames around the glass are removable from the Elky doors and how to do it? Thanks for any responses!

Forget it, they are welded in and are a sedan door to begin with so they will do you no good. What you should do is sell the Camino doors (which are a lot harder to come by) and buy the hard top/conv doors which are much easier to find.

MARTINSR,

Do you know if the interior SIDE headliner trim on your 65 GS is the same as on a 65 Chevelle?? I've been looking for the trim pieces, but no luck so far and am trying to look beyond the box now... Mine uses 3 pieces per side.

harleighguy, as far as I know everything above and including the belt line is the same on all "A" bodies. The only "freak" that I know of is the stupid "toupee" muldings used on the Skylark hard top. All other windows, belt moldings, conv top parts, all of it is the same on a Tempest, Malibu, Cutless, Skylark, any of them. This goes for all door hardware too.
