I'm no body man and there are a few methods for putting quarters on a car. I guess what i'm asking is what has the best result without a ton of time and effort? I know anything is going to take time and effort but just looking for the best way to do it.

Go look on Chevy High Performance, they have a few good articles on replacing 1/4's on a Camaro. Lots of tips on what to do and not to do.

Best bet is to get old panel off, clean up inner fenderwell, then hang 1/4 and trim to fit. Get everything clamped before welding anything. I had my floor pans in and out of the car abour 20 times before welding. Drill out the area on the fender lip where factory spot welded and plug weld around the lip. Clamp it as you plug weld so the panel remains nice and tight to the lip.Tack the top to the sail panel and grind down all your welds.

Replacing a 1/4 panel will most definately be alot of time and effort if you want it to turn out right...

Here's a search for "1/4 replacement": http://www.chevelles.com/forums/search.php?searchid=1061549

Should be something in there to get you started.
