How is the quality of the Reproduction Cowl Induction Hoods that are on the market today?
Are they comparable, or should I repair the one I have?
Any details, and recommendation of suppliers is appreciated.

I dont own a repo hood but Ive heard nothing but good reports about the hoods from goodmark. As for replacing it over fixing the old one it depends on the type of damage to the hood. You need to explain what is wrong with the old hood that way a better description can be giving...Eric

as far as i have heard, aftermarket parts suck. i agree with whoever said that you need to explian your damage more to say for sure, but i have seen many cars with aftermarket parts that don't fit. if you have severe damage, that maybe the way to go, but if you can fix it, you shoud try to do that. there are many things that you can do to fix your problems. maybe you should go to a body shop and have them give you some ideas. most will do this, or your local paint store should have some ideas too.

If you have a repairable hood it will probably be cheaper to have it repaired than to buy a repo hood plus shipping. But, if not, then I can certainly recommend a repo CI hood. About 3yrs ago I ordered every single part required for a completely functional CI hood including a repo hood from OPG. The hood looks, fits and functions perfect. My son's 71 has an original CI hood and when parked side by side for detailed comparrison, it is nearly impossible to tell any differences.
