Has anyone used por15 that can be top coated. Why do people not use this first instead of etching primer. My top has alot of pit rust that would take alot of metal away if i sanded with disc, thought about doing this. What the good, bad and ugly on this
thanks

POR-15 is not for use on outer body panels. It's great for the inner panels, frames, chassis parts, etc.
If you have pitting on an outer body panel, you must mechanically remove the rust. Then use an etching solution or self-etching primer followed by a good urethane or epoxy primer.

Yo Jimmy! Actually, POR 15 can be used on exterior panels, but it must be top-coated otherwise, UV rays will destroy it's effectiveness. Check out www.POR15.com (http://www.POR15.com) for all the info.
Whatever you do, don't get it on your skin. It is almost impossible to get off. I didn't take my own advice AGAIN yesterday when using it on my Impala. I'll have black hands for 3-4 days.
